Overview
In the Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), you will be given a question followed by several answer options—usually labeled A, B, C, or D only one answer is correct for each question.
The questions are based on a passage from the reading section. You must read carefully and choose the option that best matches the information in the text.
These questions can appear in any section of the reading test and are included in both the Academic and General Training modules.

✅ Key characteristics :
- Each question has four choices (A, B, C, D).
- You must choose only one correct answer for each question.
- Questions may ask about:
- Main ideas
- Specific details
- The author’s purpose or opinion
- The meaning of a word or phrase in context
- The questions follow the order of the passage.
- The correct answer may be reworded (not copied exactly) from the passage.
- This task tests your ability to understand and interpret detailed information.
⚠️Common Challenges
- Similar-sounding options – All options might seem correct; look for subtle differences.
- Paraphrasing – The passage may use different words to express the same idea.
- Time management – Too much time on one question.
⭐️Important Tips:
- Get a general idea of what the passage is about. Don’t read every word—just get the main point of each paragraph.
- Answers are almost always found in order in the text.
- Use keywords to find the location in the passage that matches the question. Look at what the passage actually says, not what you think it says.
- Choose the most accurate match—eliminate anything with even small mistakes or exaggerations.
- Compare each option carefully with the text—look for small differences in meaning.
- Ask yourself: “Does this option match the idea in the text exactly?”
- Eliminate choices that are partly true, too general, too specific, or opposite to the passage.
- If you’ve found clear support in the text for one answer, don’t second-guess yourself unless something obviously doesn’t fit.
- Move on quickly if you’re stuck—don’t spend more than 1-1.5 minutes per question. Make your best guess—there’s no penalty for a wrong answer.
- If time’s running out, guess the rest quickly—don’t leave any blank.
