Overview
In the IELTS Listening Note Completion test, you are given notes with missing information, and you need to fill in the blanks based on what you hear in the audio.
The notes will include a summarised part of a lecture, a conversation, or an announcement. The answers usually come in order in the recording, so it’s important to follow the order of the blanks.

✅Key Characteristics :
- You will complete notes based on information heard in a recording.
- The instructions tell you how many words/numbers you can use (e.g., NO MORE THAN TWO WORDS AND/OR A NUMBER).
- The notes may be about a lecture, talk, or conversation.
- The questions follow the same order as the audio.
- You must fill in the blanks with missing words or numbers.
- Answers are usually facts like names, dates, times, prices, places, or key details.
- The notes are often organized by topic or main ideas, not full sentences.
- The language in the audio may be paraphrased, not exactly the same as the notes.
⭐️Important Tips :
- Read the instructions carefully, as the number of words or numbers you need to write can change.
- Think about what’s missing, like a name, number, or place.
- As the audio plays, follow the order of the blanks and fill them in as you hear the correct details. Keep track of the sequence so you don’t miss important information.
- Listen carefully when names or places are spelled, so you don’t miss any letters.
- If you miss some information, don’t stress—just stay calm and keep listening.
- Watch out for distractors (incorrect details meant to confuse you).
- Write clearly on the question paper and use abbreviations to save time.
