Label a map or plan using exact words from the recording
The Map and Plan Labelling (Without Choices) task in the IELTS Listening test checks your ability to understand spoken directions and descriptions of places.
In this task, you will see a map or plan (such as a building layout, park, or street). Some places on the map are marked with numbers, and you must write the correct word or phrase to label each one.
You will not be given any answer options, so you need to listen carefully and write the exact words you hear in the recording. The speaker will describe the location of each place, often using directional language (like “next to,” “on the right,” or “opposite”
This task usually appears in Section 2 of the Listening test and requires you to match spoken information to a visual layout.
